Introducing Our Hervey Bay Stockist, Lisa from Ocean Street Furniture!
Business Name: Ocean Street Furniture.
Favourite FUSION colour and why?
Without hesitation, my favourite FUSION colour is Laurentien. I just cant get enough of this gorgeous colour. It reminds me of summer and the ocean. A real beach house colour. Im currently painting my dining setting in this colour. It matches my beach house style perfectly. I LOVE it.
What made you become a FUSION retailer?
I have just recently started my business Ocean Street Furniture and I have been trialing different paint options as I wanted to offer my customers a consistent colour range and a high quality product. After trying a few brands I discovered it was quite hard to get nice paint in my area, I decided to pay a visit to Sandy at New Vintage Bundaberg. Her enthusiam for FUSION paint had me intrigued and I was dying to give it a go. It definately lived up to expectations and even my husband was offering to paint furniture with me as he was so impressed with the product. I put my hand up straight away when Sandra asked me about becoming a retailer. There is already a buzz happening in Hervey Bay as the word is getting around that my paint stock has arrived. I will definately be filling a need here on the Fraser Coast and have already had a few sales. I am over the moon with excitement about this paint and thrilled to become a retailer.
Your ideal dinner date?
My husband and I love to revisit our youth and can think of nothing more fun than a night out dancing to some good old daggy 80's music. We love it! So after a nice meal at our favourite restaurant we head of to our local pub/club and dance our socks off. Not that we get to do it that often, but that is our ideal dinner date. Lol!
My perfect weekend always revolves around the ocean. So a weekend out with my family on our stand up paddle boards exploring the waters of Hervey Bay, Fraser Island or Rainbow Beach. There is so much beauty in the ocean and we often see turtles, rays, dolphins, dugongs... The list goes on. Weekends in the water are my favourite.
If I had a day to myself I would.......
Thats easy. I would paint furniture all day long. I am obsessed with furniture make overs and find it so satisfying. I never get bored with it. Actually, it keeps me sane.
What did you want to be growing up?
I wanted to follow in my mothers footsteps and become a nurse. As I grew older I realised that I was not cut out for that occupation. Unless I wanted to spend all my days in tears as I cant bear to see people suffering. I would have been a dribbling mess. Haha! I have always been happiest doing something creative. So I left my nursing dreams behind and after many years in creative roles, Im now following my passion for painting.
